Kristen Randall has been playing the piano since she was in her single digits, but it wasn't until she joined American black arts wizards Abigail Williams that the keyboardist started living the heavy metal dream. Her classical influences and knack for crafting lush soundscapes eventually helped her land a gig with Southern Californian deathcore titans Winds of Plague in After recording one album, and going on several tours, with the group, Randall split from WoP. The keyboardist didn't give that many details on her reasoning behind the move during the time of her departure, and naturally, rumors started flying across the Internet. It didn't help that around the same time, topless photos of her made their way onto several websites. Since then, Randall has stayed out of the spotlight, and away from the trash-talkers. But after a few years away, the keyboardist is ready to jump back into the music grind again. In this Noisecreep exclusive, Randall opens up about her upbringing, her time in Winds of Plague and her future plans. Where did you grow up and how old were you when first started playing keyboards? I grew up in Milwaukee, Wis, and the surrounding area.

Yesterday, Winds of Plague keyboardist, the tattooed hottie known as Kristen Randall, who also enjoyed a stint in Abigail Williams prior to joining Winds of Plague, announced she was exiting her post in the band in order to pursue other opportunities. In a prepared statement, Randall gushed about her now-former bandmates, saying that she will cherish the experiences she had in the band and that she hopes to work with musicians in the future who have the same work ethic and disposition as the dudes in Winds of Plague. Randall spoke exclusively to Noisecreep about leaving the band, who just released 'The Great Stone War' on Century Media in late summer, saying, "This departure has been one of the most difficult decisions in my life. I do not regret any of the time I spent with the band, and I appreciate all the growth I've experienced in the time I spent in Winds of Plague. She further elaborated on her future plans, saying, "From this point on, I would like to see myself working with more types of entertainment and fine art, such as modeling, acting and doing make-up art while continuing to hone in my talents as a musician. But there are a lot of women who post here who have flipped from TBM to apostate. I also remember my father a stake president telling me the night before I got married that every single couple he had counseled through marriage struggles were not reading their scriptures or praying together every night. We have a happy marriage. If she is full on Mormon, this relationship will go one of two ways: You will convert and change your entire lifestyle and personality to conform with her expectations never to deconvert or you will face severe penalitesor you will break up because you won't convert and change everything about yourself. We have almost daily prayers, scripture reading, and lengthy discussions about our beliefs. Sunday is considered sacred by Mormons, and they do not undertake any entertaining or outdoor activities that result in spending, on that day. How am I certain. Imagine if all the men in the world weighed over pounds and acted like slobs.
But of course this does not mean that mixed religion children cannot grow up to be LDS stalwarts. Tears in my eyes after reading this. There is much that needs to change and many hearts to educate but if we doubt some of the fundamentals then why not all of them. Sometimes I think he is the man who shouldn't have had a family but just a career too late for that now though. Follow your heart and live life with no regrets. I also definitely don't want her raising my future children, though, and I'll be very clear about that.
